The painted window above the main altar in the church of St. Barbara, Emperor FJI's 70th birthday
The central painted window above the main altar of the church of St. Barbory commemorates the 70th birthday celebrations of Emperor FJI. In a letter to the chairman of the archeological association Vocel, its donor, the council of the high regional court JUDr. Schneider-Svoboda, expressed the wish that this window be provided with the following dedicatory inscription:
"In celebration of the seventieth anniversary of His Majesty the Emperor and King Francis Joseph I, the decoration of this window was provided by JUDr. Anti. Schneider-Svoboda, c. k. State representative in Kutná Hora in the 1900s."
To pay the expenses, Mr. Rada attached to the letter a passbook of the Kutnohorská spořitelna with a deposit of 4,000 crowns.
The drawing was made by František Urban. The window depicts a group of saints, St. Anna, St. Anthony, St. Apollon and St. Aloise looking up at the Holy Family surrounded by angels playing mandolin and harp.
