Cross with a commemorative inscription for the 60th anniversary of the ruler's reign
The village of Dolní Radechová (German: Nieder Radechau) is located in the Náchod district, Královéhradecký region, approximately 2.5 km northwest of Náchod. It is located in the north of the foothills, in the valley of the Radechovka stream. The I/14 road runs through the village.
The cross is located by the main road in the direction of Náchod. It is on an elevated site and surrounded all around by a low fence. The inscription on it informs passers-by that it was created at the expense of the citizens of Dolní Radechová on the anniversary of the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor František Josef I.
The entire monument consists of a high plinth bearing an inscription, then the main plinth in the middle with lower plinths on the sides, two statuettes and a cross with Jesus. The ends of the smaller plinths are topped with simple cornices, the main plinth has an artfully carved roof, on which is placed a smaller step bearing a cross. Jesus is partially gilded, however the smaller female figures next to him are dressed in simple, unadorned robes. The ornament placed in the space under the canopy is also gilded. The inscription field with the text could not be measured, but it is made of white marble and in the upper part it is decorated with gilded lily flowers on both sides.
