Damníkov, memorial stone of Emperor FJI.
The village is located in the southwestern part of the Lanškroun Basin at the foot of the wooded Hřebečovský ridge of the Třebovský mezihoří below the Třebovský saddle in the district of Ústí nad Orlicí in the Pardubice region. The Lukovský stream flows through the village, which flows into the Moravská Sázava.
This monument, built in 1908, is the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic, in close proximity to the Nad Damníkovská hájovná well, about 200 m southeast of the crossroads with the information board. As with everyone, i.e. with the stones mentioned above, it is the anniversary of the reign of the monarch, in this case Emperor Franz Joseph I with a reign of 60 years. Trees were planted around the monuments in the number of years of reign. There were 6 maples in the imperial one, 40 in the Liechtenstein one respectively. 50 oaks, which is also written in German on the memorials (imperial maples or princely oaks). The imperial monument originally stood about 200 m further to the southeast - near the Damníkovská hajovna. In 2013, when it was rediscovered and moved to a renovated well with excellent drinking water.
The stone is rectangular in shape and bears a German inscription:
„KAISER AHORNE
LX. jähr. Reg. Jubil.
2. Dez. MCMVIII.“
Imperial maples
60-year anniversary of the government
2. Dezember 1908
